Would it be possible for Atlassian/Bitbucket to start posting these changelogs weekly or bi-weekly? Would be nice to have more time-relevant updates

    • http://www.bitbucket.org Justen Stepka

      Hi Jon,

Right now we are publishing bi-weekly, aiming for Thursday afternoon pushes. Organizing, filtering and summarizing the iterations once a month saves us time so that we can focus on shipping features.

Of course when we publish a new feature, we post a blog detailing the new feature immediately after release.

      Thanks for the feedback.

      Cheers, Justen.

Do you have an existing changelog that we could view, for those of us that are interested in being updated more regularly?
Maybe an hook that would tweet when the changelog is updated? lol :-)

Best way to follow up dates is through this blog. RSS is an easy way to monitor Bitbucket and other sites.

That’s not what I’m looking for, as this blog isn’t updated as often as I’m looking for.
Seeing regular updates helps to reaffirm that Bitbucket is being improved, which is quite important as there is a perception of stagnation between the once-a-month post about the changes that occurred the previous month. It’s again important, as we see the functionality and features available from Github, and I’m trying to keep our organization from thinking the “grass is greener”, especially when I can point out that things are truly improving within Bitbucket.

Anywho, I’ve made my point, I’ll just wait for the once-a-month updates.
            Thanks
